Reading at the U.W. Book Store

BOOK READINGS!
I'm feeling like a real author now . . . I'm doing a reading / book signing at the University Book Store in the U. District this Friday, April 5, at 6 p.m. I have a PowerPoint ready to go with photos from my days as a drama major in college. And I will read an except or two from my book. The "events" section of the book store seats about 30 people, so I hope it's filled up. Here is more information on the event:
I'm doing another reading at Elliott Bay Book Company on May 4th.
BOOK CLUBS!
I've been the "guest author" at 3 book club meetings now. What a joy! It is thrilling to sit with a group of women (all women so far) who have read my book and are dying to talk about it! Such great questions and discussions -- how far does someone go for one's art? Etc.
My book seems perfect for a book club. Something I didn't even think about when writing it. I hope other book clubs read it. I'd be happy to attend more book club meetings -- as long as they are local. I still have to get up at 3:45 a.m. and can't stay up too late.
RADIO INTERVIEW!
I had the pleasure of doing a radio interview on the show "Chat with Women." Take a listen below. Go to about 45 minutes into the show to find my interview.
I'm actually enjoying the marketing of my book. And I really enjoy getting comments from people who have read it. I still get a little queasy when someone says, "I'm reading you book" and they give me that "knowing" grin. I reveal a lot about myself in the book. But, so far, no one has been harshly negative. In fact, I've been humbled by the enthusiastic response I've gotten.
